The 'knowledge domain' in India is powered largely by education which has a long and proud history stretching back to the days of Taxila and Nalanda. They were the proud pillars of the remarkable ancient kingdoms.
The economic ascent of India in the 21st century is largely attributed to the growth and tremendous contribution of its educational institutions especially in partnership with the private sector. To maintain the economic enhancement, India's 'intellectual capabilities' should be sustained. Information Technology and Bio Technology are the two main science and technology fields which require tremendous intellectual inputs and the infrastructure for development of these are presently on the rise in India.
Governmental initiatives apart, one sees a strong commitment in the private sector to build the proper base for this intellectual growth through the establishment of centers of excellence in advanced higher education.
Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust is one such fine example.
The Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust (SSST) was established way back in 1996 by a group of educationalists and visionaries when India was in the threshold of globalization. Lead by the commitment of the Trustees, SSST already accomplished appreciable growth in the last 13 years. Highly advanced academic streams such as Management, Biotechnology, Applied Genetics, Microbiology, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Nursing are being taught in the educational institutions of SSST in a laboratory and learning environment that befits the best anywhere in the world.
