The Physical Education Department at Acharya Institutes encourages indoor and outdoor games for staff and students. Facilities are provided for indoor games like Table Tennis, carom, Chess and outdoor games like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Throw ball, Tennycoit. A Sports Complex comprising Swimming Pool, Multi Gymnasium has been initiated and will be open to the students by mid 2009. The Annual Sports Day is conducted in Jan / Feb months every year.
The event is a talent hunt which identifies and nurtures young talents. The Physical Education Department also prepares them for intercollegiate competitions. Our Students have won accolades in intercollegiate and university level competitions. |
